Fields:

  • Theoretical laser physics

    That means the development of different analytical and numerical approaches to an analysis of laser dynamics. This field includes simulation of actively and passively mode-locked as well as Q-switched oscillators containing various nonlinear elements (e.g. semiconductor saturable absorber, second harmonic, Raman and Kerr-media, nonlinear polarizator, additive resonator, etc.) A pedagogical sketch can be found in the on-line book Mathematical ultrashort-pulse laser physics.

    including ultrashort pulse generation in both positive and negative dispersion regimes, Q-switching, and nolinear dynamics of mode-locked oscillators.

  • Femtosecond pulse nonlinear optics including intra-fiber propagation, supercontinuum generation, and solitonics (incl. dissipative solitons).

  • Field theory including general relativity, relativistic theory of gravity, relativistic astrophysics, and quantum cosmology (cum Deus calculat, fit mundus).

    The computer algebra based introduction to relativistic astrophysics including celestial mechanics in weak field, black holes and cosmology can be found in the on-line book.

  • Pure mathematics and mathematical physics including set theory, mathematical logic, and computer algebras (nihil certi habemus in nostra scientia, nisi nostram mathematicam).

    Here one can find the commented Maple and Mathematica programs concentrated on laser physics and relativistic gravity.

  • Philosophy including philosophy of mathematics, historical, culturological and scientific aspects of platonism (amica veritas sed magis amicus Plato).
