Johannes Böhm is Professor for Space Geodetic Techniques, and since October 2012 he has been chairing the research group "Advanced Geodesy" at the Department of Geodesy and Geoinformation at the Vienna University of Technology. In his PhD studies and thereafter, he dealt with tropospheric path delays and developed models for the analysis of observations from space geodetic techniques (e.g. the Global and Vienna Mapping Functions). His main interests now are atmospheric effects in space geodesy in general, and the analysis of VLBI observations with the Vienna VLBI Software (VieVS).
