What about the Technical Infrastructure at the Symposium?
All necessary conference infrastructure is available in the lecture halls (Video-projection, WIFI internet-connection, etc.).
European power cables (220-240 V / 50 Hz) are using plugs with two round pins. There are also plugs with a ground connection, consisting of two contacts. You will almost certainly need an adapter to plug your Non-European plug into a European socket.

Do I need an entry visa?
For participants from most countries a visa to Austria is not necessary, but we suggest you to ask your travel agent to check.

What is the official language?
The official language of the Conference is English. No simultaneous translations will be provided. Oral presentation and discussion will be in English only.

Do I have to change the time in my watch?
The time in Austria is Central European Time (CET) = GMT+1 (standard time) or GMT+2 (summer time).

What is the weather in Austria in September?
In September, the temperature in Austria may run in the range 10-20°C. Both sweater and raincoat are recommended, as there is always unpredictable possibility of rain along with sunshine.
